By making a charitable gift through your estate, you ensure that the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts (RRCA) and its historic building will be sustained.
A planned gift can help you achieve financial and estate goals while providing a secure future for loved ones – and accomplishing something very meaningful to you in your life. Benefits can include substantial tax savings, annual income for you and/or your spouse, making a much bigger gift than you thought possible, and a host of other benefits depending on your particular circumstances and philanthropic goals.
We are happy to discuss planned giving opportunities with you and also encourage you to seek professional legal and financial counsel.
Creating and naming gift funds provides a meaningful way for donors to pay tribute to loved ones, friends and mentors, and is a source of vital support. The RRCA is grateful to donors for sustaining the historic Ramsdell building and its programming now and in the years ahead.
TWO TYPES OF GIFTS
The RRCA is especially grateful to the growing number of friends who ensure that their tradition of support continues well into the future through their estate plans.
The Ramsdell Theatre Preservation Fund was established to accept gifts that sustain the maintenance and restoration required for a historic building such as the Ramsdell. You can ensure that your tradition of support continues in the future through a Bequest, a Charitable Annuity, or a gift of Life Insurance. Your participation will set an important example for others, and awareness of your intentions will help us in our long-range planning. By remembering the RRCA in your will or beneficiary arrangements, you create a long-term plan for maintaining one of Manistee’s crowned jewels.
The Ramsdell Theatre and Community Arts Center was established for those who wish to provide general operating income for the RRCA to use wherever it is most needed (which provides the most flexibility) or to support a specific department or program.
Make the RRCA a beneficiary of your will, trust, retirement account plan or life insurance policy. The RRCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our Federal Tax ID number is 38-3117557.
GIFTS FROM YOUR IRA
Are you 70 ½ years of age or older? Please consider taking advantage of an opportunity to reduce your taxable income while supporting the RRCA with an IRA Charitable Rollover Gift.
The Qualified Charitable Distribution from an IRA allows donors 70 ½ years or older to make gifts directly to the RRCA and not include the amount gifted as taxable income. An IRA Charitable Rollover Gift can satisfy some or all of your annual Required Minimum Distribution, and reducing your taxable income could provide a variety of tax savings opportunities.
If you qualify, please consider using these funds to support RRCA’s historic venue and its high-quality programming that impacts thousands of Manistee County residents.
Please speak to your advisors about how to make this part of your long-term charitable plans. Since each individual’s tax situation is different, you should consult with a professional advisor before making a charitable IRA distribution to the RRCA.
